Privacy Policy for Humidity

Overview

Humidity is an ad-free weather app from Mini Media Lab, LLC. Humidity does not require an account, sell personal information, or use information for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Information Humidity Uses

• Location: If you grant location access, Humidity uses your device’s location coordinates, requested at roughly 100-meter accuracy, while you use the app to show local weather. Location access is optional; you can search for and use a saved city instead.
• Saved cities and preferences: Saved locations, the selected city, weather cache, unit preference, and display settings are stored on your device. Mini Media Lab does not receive this locally stored information.
• Country-based unit default: On first launch, Humidity may contact Country.is. The service receives the Internet Protocol (IP) address necessarily included with the request and returns a country code. Humidity uses that result only to choose an initial Celsius or Fahrenheit setting and does not store the IP address.

Weather and Location Services

To retrieve weather, Humidity sends the coordinates for your current or selected location to Open-Meteo. Like other internet services, Open-Meteo also receives request information such as an IP address. Open-Meteo states that service logs may contain IP addresses and geographical coordinates and are deleted after 90 days. Please review the Open-Meteo Privacy Policy and Terms for details.

Humidity uses Apple’s location and map services to obtain device location and city-search results. Apple handles information processed by those services under the Apple Privacy Policy.

Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

Humidity does not enable analytics, session replay, advertising, or cross-app tracking in the current release. Mini Media Lab does not receive your precise location, saved cities, or weather requests.

Retention and Your Choices

Information stored by Humidity remains on your device until you remove saved locations, change preferences, or delete the app. You can disable location access at any time in iOS Settings and continue using a saved city. Third-party services retain information according to their own policies.

Children’s Privacy

Humidity is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Humidity changes. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
